ORCHARDS

This is the front cover for the (sometime) upcoming album title ORCHARDS, to be release on 1980 Records.

It may take time to actually release this album as it has been 13 years since the first song for this album was written. It’s pretty much the album I have always wanted to release but haven’t gotten around to. In the meantime I have decided to upload a couple of potential songs that will fit the theme of the album on MySpace. Please click the following link below to listen to MOVEMENTS and DAYTIME AND ME. Hope you like them.

COMPUTER MAGIC (freeport, il)

hey bill, im going by the name,” computer magic “  and the piece is entitled, wormholes. It’s about  two things but not at the same time, there will be sampling and some screaming. it runs about 4 minutes then a small pause then another 7. Im sending a picture i took, of a picture of me. ill bring pickles for you. copy this email as my bio. the whole thing. thanks.

eternally, andy

Mallow Hazard (rockford)

Mallow Hazard’s sound is made up of many weird things but very relaxed, with no sharp edges(Well, maybe a little). It might seem that he is an anarchists, nihilist, watercolorist, virginalist, or maybe even an enzymologist but he doesn’t really think of this. Hope you enjoy the show.

Thom Stebbins (freeport, il)

Thom’s last set for EAS#6 was excellent. Thom’s music cannot be put into any specific category and he’s always surprising me. With home built instruments and a great sense for improv his set proves to be nothing short of epic.

City Harvest Black (rochester, ny)

City Harvest Black has a deep intrisic connection to sounds and is hypnotic in his approach. follow the golden watch with yr eyes and listen to his voice. you will awaken in beautiful landscapes of sound. not to be missed.

Lincoln Johns (chicago, il)

melodyydolem scraping, clicking, clapping, overlapping, pause.

Here’s a video from Obbity Fest last night! Obbity Fest was so much fun! I was there all three nights just hanging out with my friends from THE CLAMS, Earth Program, She speaks in Tongues, and The Lone Gun Society. We played the last night to crowd of some great people, people I haven’t hung out with in years! It was a blast and can’t wait for the next show! Thanks for making it such a great fest everyone!

Chautaqua Art Lab Day 2

Last night was great! We started out at Fort Gondo and checked out their current exhibition and then Allen and I went to set up for the outdoor showing of his film Shut the Mouth at the Cherokee Street Re-al Garden. On less then 24 hours notice I had the chance to rehearse the live score with the film 3 times and I was happy to say that it went off without a hitch! The breeze lightly blew the sheet that the movie was projected on and the sounds of the city mixed in beautifully with the images and music.

Tonight there’s going to be a fun outdoor show at local STL artist’s Dr. Bill’s installation space/yard and house! So much art! Everything starts up around 6:30 p.m. and music and dance performances will start around 7 p.m. Potluck too! Vegan friendly options available!

Tomorrow will the be the debut performance for my new project, Lincoln Johns. I hope to see my STL friends there! The schedule is here.

Thanks to everyone making my weekend so great! Best, Bill
